On Friday 14th May I hired a VW Campervan from Wam Bam Campervan, a campervan specialist based in Swanley. Terms of hire- The important bit
Booking Deposit
50% deposit is payable initially on booking, this is required to secure your booking date.
On payment of the booking deposit you are agreeing to our Term & Conditions which can be read HERE.
Security Deposit
A £1000 security deposit is required on collection. This is payable by credit card. The security deposit will be refunded 7 days from the safe return of the campervan and its contents.
The Balance
The balance is due 42 days prior to the start of the Rental Period. Where the booking is confirmed less than 42 days prior to Collection, the total balance charge will be due on booking.
Additional Drivers
Additional drivers are charged from £12 per day each – subject to insurance approval.
I.D
All ID must be scanned and emailed over no less than a week prior to hire start date. Hard copies must be brought on day of hire. (see FAQs for ID requirements)
Hire Extensions
Hire extensions are available at our discretion only. If we can agree to an extension of hire, we will charge the van at a daily hire rate.
However, if the hire extension is not feasible or cannot be agreed, we reserve the right to charge a full weeks hire and any other costs that may incur if the van doesn’t return on the agreed date and time.
Travelling To Europe
We charge an additional fee of £12 per day which includes European insurance cover, road-side assistance and legal compliance (headlight light adjustment, spare bulb/fuse set warning triangle, high visibility vests, first aid kit, fire extinguisher, Alcosense French NF Legal Approved Breathalyser kit.)

Cancellation Policy
Insurance
Insurance is provided and in the event of any damage to either the vehicle or third party property the hirer will be liable for the first £1,000, per occurrence. The hirer will be liable for replacement or repair of windows or tyre damage and accidental/negligent damage to the vehicle, fittings and equipment.
The prices quoted are for drivers between the ages of 25 and 70 holding a driving licence for at least three years with no accidents or endorsements. Drivers under 25 or over 70 are charged an additional loading of £12 per day, subject to insurance approval. Drivers outside these conditions will be considered but there may be additional charges. Please call to discuss.
Drivers with 3 points or more may incur an insurance surcharge, please call for a quote.
On Return
Please remember to fill the campervan up with DIESEL before you drop it back to us. If the tank is not returned full, the cost will be taken out of the security deposit.
We recommend that customers obtain adequate holiday / travel insurance in the event of any unforeseen circumstances.
